Tabless Chrome continued
As soon as I started actually using Chrome, I realized that my ads were all back.
There is an Adblock Plus for Chrome, but it has problems, apparently.
But this one, Adblock For Chrome (by someone else) seems to work pretty well. It doesn't do that thing where it lets you block any image you find, but a few hours of browsing was pretty ad-free.

It even lets you KEEP google text-based ads, if your only objection is to bright shiny visual clutter. And you don't have to/get to (depending on your perspective) set-up a 'subscription' to an ad-block list like on adblock plus.
