I'm very bored. XD;
Anyway, I was dicking around on figure.fm, and found this interesting questionnaire for collectors. Why not fill it out?
WHY DO YOU COLLECT?
Why Do You Collect?
Since young, I've loved amassing stuff. In primary school, I chose to save my pocket money to buy really badly bootlegged anime notebooks. XD They're like...actual notebooks, with blank pages inside for you to fill out and stuff, only they came with pretty ugly anime covers. Think Ash with an orange hat, and Misty with brown hair. Yeah. Needless to say, my Mom wasn't pleased at all. She scolded me for wasting money, and even now, she still do. XD
I graduated from notebooks to manga towards the end of my primary school education; the very first series I collected was Rurouni Kenshin. That was like a good 9 years ago, lol! o_o; Anyway, I progressed from Rurouni Kenshin to Pokemon Adventures to Love Hina. XDD My books were first stored in this big paper bag, and it didn't take long before they overflowed from the paper bag, and Mom made me store them in a cupboard. I don't collect manga now - at the moment, I'm only focusing on Pokemon Adventures and Negima. I'm really running out of space, so I can't afford to collect more new series. XDDD;
And from manga, I moved on to figurines. Even though I picked up a few bootlegs here and there, I never treated collecting seriously, until I got this little guy here. XDD He was really cheap, and inside a stationery store, and my interest was piqued so I bought him. And after that seeing Blade Liger in a toy store a few months later, I've never looked back since. :P";
So, why do I collect? Out of sheer habit. There must be something about my personality that compels me to amass stuff... XD;
Do you collect to play or decorate?
More to decorate, simply because it's too much hassle to take them out and pose them and take pictures and everything. ._.; In the past, my figurines and gunpla were displayed on an unused computer desk, so access to them was simple. Now, they're all stuck in my cupboard, and most of them are really dusty hahaha, so I have second thoughts about playing with them.
In the first place, you can't really play with figurines, plushes and gunpla anyway. XD An occassional photoshoot is fun, but all that posing will wear down the joints some day. Not good. ):
Do you get a new one just for something to review?
I say "no", because I don't review stuff unless people ask me to look out for some stuff for them. :D Otherwise, if I actually had a review site to maintain, there's a very high chance I would.
Are you collecting to complete your collection or will always add on to it?
As much as I'd love to truly complete a collection, true completion, to me, entails tracking down all the limited edition figurines, flat items and magazine freebies of the character you're collecting. That's far too much work and money involved. That's why I never actively try to really complete a collection, because I know I will stop at no end to ensure that it's complete. )):"; So, I collect and I will always add on to my collection. 8D! I'm pretty happy with getting Pokedolls and zukans of Eevee/Glaceon, Riolu/Lucario and Skitty/Delcatty. To me, that in itself is 'complete', until I decide that Pokemon kids are cool and start trying to collect all of those. XD;
...for the record, I think my Louise Halevy non-flat collection is officially complete. 8D! I have the Heroines figurine, the B-side one, HG 1/144 GN-X III, HG 1/144 Ahead Smultron, and one more special resident who will probably arrive here mid-November if everything goes well. PICTURES TIME WHEN RESIDENT ARRIVES.
Saji Crossroad only really has one figurine - the PPP. I have NG 1/100 0 Raiser, HG 1/144 0 Raiser Designer Colors, and a PG on the way. I'm not getting the MG, so that basically discredits me from a real and officially completed collection. XDD
Setsuna F. Seiei has way too many stuff that's beyond my reach - the dollfie action figure, the garage kit, and the NEWTYPE PPP being the main culprits. B|; I'm happy to call it complete when I have at least one non-flat of every version of Setsuna who has appeared in the show roflrofl.
Do you collect something just since it is valuable and will sell for a lot of money one day?
No. I'm very bad at keeping stuff mint. :| I cut off the hang tag of my Pokedolls. I remove my figurines from boxes. I build my gunpla. I collect for myself, basically.
I don't have the space to keep items MIB. XD
Do you ever think you will stop collecting?
Unlikely! I'm stopping gunpla collecting after a certain MG, but who knows if I'd pick it up again when I work and earn my own money? XD And my Pokedoll obsession is currently in remission, but who can say it won't start acting up again? |D Same for my figurine collection. Right now, space is my biggest restriction that's stopping me from expanding my collection. Unless we magically grow new space or something, I will have to watch what I get, and learn to save and budget at the same time. XD

I've been waiting forever for Bandai to make a figurine of this!! So, naturally, when word of the History set came out, I was cheering and raging because La Tendo no longer stocked Heroines ))):. Gotten off eBay.

Gunpla: I might be jumping the gun, but PG 00 Raiser is already shaping up to be one of my biggest, grandest purchases ever. It's going to be the pride of my collection, if I don't break parts. 8)
Otherwise, MG Exia and MG Wing Zero rank very highly too.

I don't usually collect accessories and flats, but when this set was on Animate, I couldn't NOT get it once news of KKnM stocking these pretties reached my ears. T_T IT'S SETZ IN A FUCKING SUIT. AND A ROSE. I wish I had better photos lmao. It's still ~MIB~.
