i think this is one of the most optimistic post of yours that i've ever read. where's the cynical eric who would think the world will have been obliterated well before 2035? i'd say i'm usually more of an optimist than you and i'm cynical about there being much "future" in the year 2035.

The cynical me is in portugal right now a little tipsy trying to figure out this godforsaken keyboard. I´m driving to california in a few days. Where are you currently located? It would be really interesting to finally meet. Give me your cell phone number if you want. I'll be in lake tahoe, somewhere close to new mexico, so if it isn't too far away i'd definitely be up for visiting. i just bought a gps for my car, so it will be very easy for me to find you.
