Headcanon meme!

...so I'm playing the waiting game at work but can't seem to summon the voice to play, and realized recently that my headcanon is kind of nil. So.... help me build it! Ask me questions re: Remy! Canon or camp. Whatever! I'll try to answer to the best of my ability of course you realize that some of the answers may be random capslock or lolcats

Has Remy learned any new recipes in camp?

Probably quite a bit! For all the experimenting he did at Gusteau's and then his own restaurant, before coming to camp Remy's repertoire revolved primarily around French gourmet cooking.

Now that he's in camp, and around so many people from different cultures with so many different types of foods, he pretty much can't keep himself away whenever someone brings out a recipe he doesn't know. Tuesday only happens once a week, after all, and I don't think Remy can get through a day without trying something new and different.

...I think he's particularly intrigued by onigiri but also a little cautious due to not wanting to get rolled into one by accident.

Does Remy age like a normal rat? How old is he? What does that translate to in human terms?

I've actually been dancing around this issue since I apped him, largely because if Remy aged normally in camp there'd be a limit to how long I could play him.

I think in his app I placed him at less than a year to make him the rat equivalent of a teenager. The PB I picked for human!Remy was a little younger than what I was looking for (early teens instead of late) so I just played it as him being short for a human as well as a rat.

I would have just gone "oh, he's a Pixar rat they live longer" buuut I also sort of include the DVD extra "Your Friend the Rat" in his canon (in the sense that if Remy were to break the fourth wall, he would undoubtedly drag Emile into a PSA like that), and the extra includes a lot of scientific fact. Especially that Remy's a Norway rat and not the type of rat that carried the Black Plague flea. There's a lot of harping on that. XD

What does Remy think of ice cream? Would flavors like chicken telephone ice cream or September ice cream freak him out?

Remy... okay, Remy's actual thoughts on ice cream (like any food ever) could fill a book or two and it's midnight and I'm made of fail so - if you ever saw City Slickers, you might remember a couple of guys who were the not!Ben and Jerry who insisted they could pick the perfect ice cream flavor to cap off any meal you described to them. Remy would probably have endless debates with those guys.

Maybe they'd freak him out a little, but at the same time there's the potential for OMG THIS IS SOMETHING TOTALLY NEW squeeing. Sure, it's bizarre, but.. NEW FLAVOR, people. I still think September ice cream would win out over chicken telephone, though. Chickens don't have the patience for call waiting, answering machines, or dialing.

Mm, when she eventually talks to him she'll HAVE to bring up ice cream then. Inventing new flavors of ice cream is something she loves.
