I just realized that no matter how fast I watch an episode and write about it, I will generally be one day late. I was anticipating watching just Heroes tonight, but thankfully Jelena told me that indeed there should be a new episode of Weeds as well. I didn't see it in the list of shows this morning.

Heroes started off a bit slow, but definitely delivered some suspense at the end. Maybe a review of last season's finale would have been helpful because I forgot a lot of what happened at the end. I heard a rumor that Sylar was going to return. If true, that would have been quite a rip-off considering they spent all this energy last season killing him. Even if they bring him back, it should probably wait till a little later so that our heroes' efforts were not completely in vain. This is something I learned from watching WWE. If you squash a villain, then your victory means nothing. If you eke out a victory, and the villain still manages to come back, then the entire battle was pointless. Anyway Sylar didn't come back so all is well.

OR DID HE???? Don't know what that voice in Parkman's head was. Wonder if it's the same person who killed Hiro's father. Did I miss something but why is Parkman taking care of the little girl, Molly? It seems odd that the police officer who saved her twice would be allowed near her. Doesn't that look suspicious?

I didn't realize that the journey from Mexico to the US went through such dense jungle.

The Japanese are my favorite part of the show. I hope Hiro doesn't stay in the past this entire season. The antics (or should I say ANTOcs) of him and Anto are priceless.

I've always found Claire's part in this whole saga to be the least interesting, with her father making a much more interesting character. We see that he and Mohinder have hatched a plan to take down "The Company." OK this is not as interesting as preventing the world from blowing up, but this has lots of possibilities. I have a fear though that Claire and the flying kid from her school will become some teenage melodrama.

Overall, the season started strong, raising lots of new questions and will be fun to see how they are all tied together. I wonder how this show will fare in coming up with new seasonal arcs. I wonder if like Lost, as they claim, they have a plan for several seasons, or if they are gonna make this up as they go along.

I was shocked at the end of last week's Weeds when Marvin killed U-turn. How did that happen exactly? I'm a little confused as to what happened. Marvin switched his medication or what?

The great thing about this show in general is that it straddles the line between drama and comedy really well. I really laughed at some of the early bits in the show: U-turn being buried in a hot-tub, Andy talking to Lexington Steele, Shane solving the mysteries before the envelopes were opened and of course Paul F. Tompkins.

This episode was a little strange. I can't imagine that Nancy is going to stop selling drugs. Doesn't that negate the premise of the show? As it stands, Nancy got a brief moment of happiness and Marvin turned out to be a bitch, just as U-turn thought. That was what I liked about U-turn in the last few episodes. He was a lot smarter than he seemed and he really knew what he was doing.

There were also some new bits of interest. That gay Indian guy got that girl pregnant. I would really respect the writers if they never brought this up again. Not that it's not interesting, but they haven't talked about the Indian guy in weeks and I don't see why it would tie in to the rest of the story. It could remain just a little tid-bit for the fans, an indication that life goes on outside the lives of the main characters.

As a final note I wonder, When are they gonna run out of genres to do their theme in? I'm not complaining, I'm impressed. Have we heard death metal yet?
