Asia’s first-ever 'superyacht only' boat show is to be held in Singapore next year at the ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove.

Held from April 8-10, the 1st Singapore Yacht Show will bring together more than 3,000 high net worth individuals, 70 exhibitors and 20 superyachts of more than 25m (82ft) in length, IBI Plus reports.

The three-day event, said to be the first of its kind in Asia, is being organised by Informa Yacht Group (IYG) and is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau (SECB).

“We are convinced that the market for superyachts in Asia could develop considerably over the next few years, and we want to play our part in driving that development,” says Andy Treadwall, IYG’s managing director.
“Singapore is a highly strategic and influential business centre in the very heart of Asia, providing a perfect venue for the show and a first-class hub for the future of the large-yacht industry in this region. The venue, ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove, has the ideal setting to host this ultra luxurious event.”

The show will play host to a fleet of sail and motor superyachts, with shipyards, brokers, designers, naval architects and anyone with an interest in superyachts in attendance.
