Ice Situation on Danube River for the sector Braila - Galatz - Sulina

As per report of local Romanian Agents:

Please note situation on maritime Danube:
-          For the sector upstream Braila ice stock. No floating ice
-          Ice bridge thickness of abt. 15-20 cm
-          For the sector Galatzi ice floating 30-40 %
-          Floating ice thickness up to 20 cm
-          In sector NM73 - NM43 ice stock; there is one vessel blocked (Mv ASPRO) since 7 days
-          There are 5 vessels waiting to sail from Reni downstream for Sulina due to heavy ice conditions and lack of tugs pilot. Navigation for downstream is restricted until further order of ice commandment.
-          At NM46 there are blocked in the ice 2 vessels waiting for upstream voyage (Atlas Sema, Alexandretta) and other 2 vessels waiting for downstream voyage (Zinnet Cavusoglu, Vassilios 21)
-          There is one tug (6600HP) working all the time to break the ice and trying to release these vessels
-          For the sector NM43 - NM39 (Tulcea elbow) ice floating 20-25%
-          Floating ice thickness up to 15-20 cm
-          For the sector NM39 ice stock
-          Ice thickness up to 20-30 cm
-          For the sector NM23 ice floating abt. 30-40 %
-          Ice thickness up to 20-30 cm
-          At NM23 there is one military tug (6600HP) working to break the ice;
-          For the sector NM23 - NM6 ice floating 10-15
-          Floating ice thickness up to 15-20 cm
-          Sailing upstream from Sulina there is one military tug (6600HP) working to break the ice;
-          Sulina port and Black Sea mouth ice floating 10-15%
-          Floating ice thickness up to 15 cm
-          There are 2 vessels berthed in Sulina port waiting for upstream voyage; navigation is restricted due to ice bridges on upstream Danube (NM39, NM46-NM72)
-          Air temperature -12 Celsius degrees
-          Navigation on Danube is going under ice condition and strict orders of Ice Commandment
