SPN: Thoughts on Dean's Deal

Oct 28, 2007 16:38

Yeah, so I know nobody is reading/cares, but I was thinking about Dean's deal last night and have to type this down, so in case I might be right, I can link back here in a few months and say Hah! So, now, I was thinking, if Sam just assumed his part as leader and boy king, can't he just have the crossroads bitch bow down to him and deliver him Dean's soul back on a silver platter? And if she refuses, he sends a bunch of his demon minions to "convince" her?

But then I was thinking, wait, why is Sam the big boy king everyone's heard of, the one to lead the army and being on the new world order? Sam lost out in the competition, so shouldn't it be Jake? And Sam is the ass who killed him? Jake opened the (literal) damn door to hell and the demonds swooshed out. Shouldn't their last info be 'Jake will lead us'?

But now here's my conclusion. What if it was all planned this way? Jake killing Sam so Dean would have to being him back. They knew Dean knew about the crossroads demon, they knew Dean would do everything to get Sam back. The demons, especially the YED, aren't dumb and very familiar with the Winchesters. So now, what if the deal was all part of the plan? Because they also knew Sam would never go darkside on his own. But now he is forced to, because he will also do anything in his power to save his brother. And if that involves following the YED (or now Ruby, since I assume the plan didn't involve YED getting killed, so the back-up had to come up, who I still think is Lucifer)... so, following the YED and killing a few innocents and then a few more on his way, maybe start small though, just bark out a few orders at other demons, have them kill, now this would definitely lead Sammy down to where they want him to end up. And if in the end, he will still not be able to save Dean (because would he really be all evil as long as Dean's still around? No.), he will break, nothing will matter anymore and they finally have their good little anti christ.

But on the other hand, wouldn't that be a tad bit too much work and effort wasted on Sam? I dunno if he is really all that different from Jake, maybe it was just sheer dumb luck/a coincidence and Sam coming back was never part of the plan. Who knew just how much shit has happened to the families of the other special kids in the long run. We didn't get that much info.
