So, I really loved the past few Supernatural eps, you know I did, but the finale was so underwhelming. And to think they even had one episode more! I keep thinking of Misha saying what everybody's probably thinking. The writer's room. "Oh hey guys, remember those leviathans? Shouldn't we wrap that up?" - "Oh, right, we forgot. Well, shit." Things I loved: everything with Cas. Dean's new red leather jacket. Cas. Caaaaas! I was already spoiled for purgatory thanks to cons - didn't know who or how, but even if I wasn't, it just didn't feel like a big thing to me. The way it was done. No meathooks. *shrugs* And Castiel is already there. Dean'll be fine.

On the other hand, I should be happy. Because hellatus schmellatus. I for one am not biting my nails until October. I much rather rewatch better episodes, hope for Jeremy Carver and read more Dean/Cas, because thank you, episode, for giving us a lot of fodder for that ship.

Really though, Castiel was handled nicely. I adored all the scenes with him and Misha did an awesome job. Just seeing him sit on that staircase watching the boys. And he was Bobby's friend as well! *sob*

I knew they'd wreck the impala. I told Jim Michaels "I hope they're not bringing her back to wreck her again, right?" and he looked at me all "why would we do that?" Yeah, right. But hey, she didn't seem very damaged. Yet. Although in the demons vs. leviathans fight happening right outside? (Which, btw, is also dumb. The leviathans were not all dumb. Cut off the head? So what? The way they showed them before, like with the realtor lady, there should have at least been five other ambitious leviathans ready to take Dick's place. Just let them all fucking go poof and be done with this misery.)

Ah well. Dean and Cas fighting together in purgatory while they both learn to forgive themselves and each other is something I can look forward to. Time better passes slowly in there as well. Think about it. 30 years of Cas and Dean against the world before they will pop back. Meanwhile Sam can call Jodie and have her use her mommy voice on him. They're all gonna be fine.

What I downright hated was the way they handled Bobby. It was way too quick and all in the middle and rushed. (Funny that Sam did get choked though. 'Will Sam get choked by Dick?' was one of my favorite pre-episode jokes.) Like I said on Tinka's LJ, they better have done this so Bobby can be in purgatory with them next season. (Vengeful spirits don't go to heaven for all we know.)

I should rewatch the episode and focus on the good stuff though. And pay more attention to Crowley. I didn't really quite understand everything here, tbh. I rewinded a few scenes, but I still had trouble.
