Things I want to do in the very near future:

-- Go the the Philly Museum of art for some sweet Buddhist art, Matisse, Cézanne, and Japanese fashion exhibits. They also have a Moriyama (Japanese photographer) exhibit that promises to be amazing. The shit that man does with black and white film is just so fucking incredible. The richness and the contrast he was able to create just blows me away. His work is SUCH an argument FOR film in the whole film vs digital debate. You just can't get that off of a flashcard. I'm relatively certain that he still hasn't made the switch to digital (though I could easily be very wrong). Either way, he's a little fantastic. /photogeek There's a few other things I'd like to see, too. So much awesome there all at once!

-- Show Matt South Street! He'd never been there before we met (North Jersey kids... pshh) and I've only taken him there at night to go to the bars. And I really haven't been there during the day for a while either. So I want to go there some day when it's gorgeous out and possibly make a stop off at Infinite (like I've been meaning to do for like two YEARS now heh). I need to find my frequent-piercer-card-thing. Even though I put it through the laundry. boo.

-- Read and write more. Of course. But that's nothing new. I was supposed to go workshop with Kaspereen up at Rider, but I was all cough-y and he was all busy, so it didn't work out. Meh. The book I'm reading right now (all right. One of the books I'm reading. nerd alert. XD ) is really motivating me to read a lot more. Jen let me borrow it-- it's called An Unquiet Mind. It's written by a professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine... and it's about her experiences with her own bipolar disorder. It's pretty amazing. The blurb on the back of the book describes it as her experiences as both "the healer and the healed." Yep-- I'm a huge psych nerd. I'd actually really like to use it in my WRAP group at work. Might also be good for Bipolar Support Group. (btw. I <3 my job.) I also really wanna finish The Satanic Verses. And Breakfast of Champions (again). And Watchmen (again). And the other three books I'm reading. (I'm a mess. I need to work on my attention span and learn to read one at time. mm.) The George Saunders collection I'm reading is pretty awesome. And I really want to get things finished so I can finally read the big old Flannery O'Connor collection I have. [[happiness is tons of untouched books in my room, waiting for me to read them.]]

-- Kate wants to take me to Sephora and learn me about makeup haha

Things I'm looking forward to:

-- All of the above
-- Death Cab on the 7th!
-- Annmarie and I possibly exploring Europe together in the fall? wut wut?
-- Hot Hot Heat done recording their album ahhhh Which means a US tour is in the works. Which means I will get to see them for, oh, you know-- the 12th time. Win.
-- Regina Spektor also has an album coming out. In June. Inevitable summer tour ftw. F.T.W. So I'll get to see her for the 4th time. haha My two favorite artists touring in the same year = epic happy. My wallet might cry a little, but I'll be thrilled with life!

Things that were recently fantastic:

-- Getting to see joekelly and Rachel in New Hope! Annnndd the show was fantastic
-- Driving 20 minutes out of the way, into Lawrenceville, because all Matt and I wanted out of life yesterday was a couple Slurpees. He comes from a strange place where they rarely have pina colada available. ALL of the 7-11s around here ALWAYS have pina colada. He was quite pleased. (Unfortunate fact: the closest 7-11s to my house are in Haddonfield and Cherry Hill. Wtf- why so farrr? Wawas clearly dominate around here.)
-- State inspection at work went relatively smoothly and all is currently back to normal!
-- Kate, Val, Josh, Ian, Matt, and I had beer-tasting night at Val's on Friday! We got all these different beers we've never tried before and did some tasting. It was classy. There is some wild stuff out there, man. The good, the bad, and the smelly!
-- And! I showed my mom a bedset I was thinking about getting (cause I hate the one that I have now... I didn't even pick it... it was here when I started living back at home) and she told me that she'd pay for it cause she didn't get me a birthday gift yet haha. Winnnn. It should be here in 3-5 days!

anddd I should probably type up some progress notes for work and get some cleaning done!
