CHARMED PRIVATE TO SELF.

I haven't got a detention in yonks -- model pupil that I strive to be -- but I must say that seeing Kirke get wet and getting a detention just for that was just about worth it.

Proudfoot, however, is an unfair prat and a -- That said, I still think the detention was a great injustice -- I wasn't swimming myself and knew that anyone who did was going to get into trouble, and all I did was run outside to tell everyone so rather loudly -- you know, as a proper and responsible prefect would -- and I still got in trouble just because I had accidentally bumped into Kirke (how was I supposed to see in the dark and while I was running to get there as quickly as I could?) and got pulled in even though I apologised profusely and offered to help her out! Daddy would have been so proud that I was being such a gentleman, but did it help? Not at all, it seems.

Oh God, I just realised that the detentions happen this week while Quidditch tryouts are on. Shit.

/ PRIVATE

I'm sopping wet, thoroughly freezing, absolutely sore all over and probably worsened something from my intimately homoerotic tousle with Nicky-poo last Sunday (but I can take it like a man!), will probably get a letter from Daddy telling me that he never hears about this sort of thing about Arty at Eton or Lizzy here, and I've got detention all week (bravo to Professor Proudfoot for being awfully fair not at all, actually and efficient like a good schoolmaster ought to be), but I must say that last night was quite the experience.

That said, please don't do it again. I'd hate to see anyone get hurt or ill from swimming in the lake with the giant squid -- not to mention that it's against school rules -- or get into trouble again just for having fun. Just got all of your best interests at heart as a prefect though I should be Head Boy, of course.

Good Lord, I can't wait to spend all week scrubbing the floors of the dungeons -- splendid stuff that builds character, that is! Reminds me a bit of Grandpapa's stories about Eton back in his and his ancestors' days -- you know, nothing like a bit of servant's work to put a lord in his proper place. Absolutely spiffing! I'm just worried about Quidditch and -- And we all know how much I enjoy bending over and getting on my knees! Oh yes, I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it -- which is good, as I'm still freezing right about now. But I can take it like a proper man, so you need not worry about me, ladies! And chaps, of course -- can't leave you strapping young boys out either.
