Hey, Aerith? You had flowers when I met you, right? Where did you buy them? I have a friend who just arrived in Template who needs a pick-me-up. Or a nice surprise, at least.

Network?

I'm trying to establish a connection to the second level through what will hold the essential purpose of a cellphone, considering no one seems to be able to use theirs here.

Also, wireless computer connections. Though, that seems like it's going to be much easier now that I've started looking into it.

I own a technologies company, it's only logical that I should try and continue it here in service to the people of Template. Though, at the moment, I'm slacking a little to take a break and build a taser for a friend of mine that just arrived.

Sounds useful. What've you got so far?

Technologies, huh. That sounds pretty vague.

Well, the second level is obviously a telecommunications network, so right now I'm trying to figure out an effective method of essentially patching into one of the nodes so I can make it possible from anywhere, just as it's possible to reach the second level from anywhere. What I want is to test active networking over this level and see if it can retain the substance and organization of the packets being sent.

From what I can gather, the level we access is just a Data Plane. Which is why physical function is slowed and inhibited, it's essentially all being transferred through some kind of alternate state.

That said, my company, as you might assume, specializes in telecommunications. We contract for the government periodically, but we're mostly a civilian organization.

You say it transmits data, so have you tried modifying something like a Blackberry or a cell phone, something already wired to receive data?

You into the design or the business?

No, I hadn't even considered it. [have a "duh" look, albeit, Bruce pulls it off with a smile] Unfortunately, my first attempt fried my own phone. I've got another one half-constructed, but I got pulled away by a side project for a friend, at least for the night.

You could say I have a personal interest in the design portion, but a professional interest in the business half.

[raises an eyebrow at your smart ass attitude] I'll have a prototype tomorrow.

A man after my own heart. [only a little sarcasm, really]

Pretty confident of yourself. You sure you have the supplies? [pause] And, quick to contribute too.

How about I just settle for a name.

Did I say I'd give it to you?

Tony Stark. Yours?

If you were planning on stealing my plans, I highly doubt you would have informed me of it unless you're either incredibly arrogant, or have a trump card. The former I might expect, but the latter is unlikely since I haven't seen you around here before, which leads me to believe you're pretty new.

Bruce Wayne.

Alright, bad joke. [smirks] Actually, I'm in need of just this sort of technology, for ... a project.

[now you've got him interested] What kind of project?

One that requires a high powered computer and a way to communicate with it.

How high-powered are we talking? I could replicate the schematics for the one I kept in the manor, but it would take me a few days to get the details correct, and I can't guarantee the parts would be easy to find.

What kind of result would this project produce?

I'm used to working with something you'd consider artificial intelligence, but I plan to strip it down to the bare minimum I can get away with-especially if transmission capability will be limited.

What, curious?

I haven't dealt with very much A.I., probably because it's considered superfluous in Gotham. We haven't needed that kind of technology as long as we have techs continuing to exceed its capabilities and neglecting that sector of research.

Very.
