1. Fusion Dance! Will read immediately.

2. You have an excellent typo: Dean Men Don't Wear Plaid for Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Dean men mostly do seem to wear plaid.

LOL

That is a great typo. Goes to show that I write 'Dean' a lot more than 'dead,' which makes muscle memory a funky, funky thing. :D

Eeee, I think I have a new favorite outside observer. I love that Tinker is simultaneously wrong and totally right about what's going on with Sam, that he can get through to him. And I like that Jodie Mills is human enough not to be perfect and great with Sam herself. She's one of my favorite minor Spn characters, but of course Sam for her would be associated with the most horrible and traumatic event of her life, so she wouldn't be the best person for him or he for her.

I love Jodie Mills too, and I agree that she's not the best person for Sam right now. After all, there are bad memories on both sides there. I love the fact that she has a different viewpoint of Bobby and the boys than we do and yet remains a sympathetic character anyway.

Tinker is loosely based on an acquaintance of mine who helps out war veterans (he's a vet himself). He's talked down more than a few guys from some potentially dangerous flashbacks (dangerous to themselves, not to others). I kind of wanted Sam to get that kind of help, to explain how Dean learned that particular technique of coming down from a PTSD flashback.

Love it. Tinker is a great OMC.
And the way everyone is not THAT freaked out by Sam's episodes and simply guesses (rightfully so in a way) that he went to war, risking his own life and sanity for his country (the whole world) and got back damaged.
Sadly there are a lot of veterans who can relate in a way.

Thank you very much! You're right about veterans who would be able to relate to Sam. Tinker is based off an acquaintance of mine, also a veteran, who helps out other veterans who are having trouble readapting to civilian life.

So amazing. I love this verse so much!!!

You just write Sam and Dean so well. And it's always great to see them from outsider's perspectives.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much! I love playing with the outsider POVs in this 'verse. :)

Aw man, I love this. The moment when Sam starts to come back to himself after he sees Tinker situating his leg like Dean does--it's so understated and perfect.

Thank you! I figured if anything was going to get through to Sam, it would be the idea of Dean. So I worked it in in a way that I hoped was plausible, since there's no way Tinker would have known about Dean otherwise. :)
