At least the idiot hunters weren't there to kill Sam. You had me worried for a minute. I love getting a glimpse of scary protective Dean; even in a quiet, healing 'verse I want to see Dean being a badass from time to time

I didn't want to have the hunters coming for Sam. He's paid enough, I think.

And I really like scary!protective!Dean. No one fucks with his Sammy. :D

I saw the notification in my inbox and I was like, Please be Fusion 'verse, please be Fusion 'verse... And I was not disappointed :) I loved seeing that Sam can still be himself sometimes, discussing Moby Dick all happily. This 'verse makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing!!

Poor Sam. The whole hand-wringing tic (not quite hand-wringing, but close enough) is something of a self-soothing mechanism, I guess. Just something he does when things get overwhelming. I'm not sure why, but it was one of the strongest visuals I had of him when I first started writing in this 'verse.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it! Working with outsider POVs is tricky, but really rewarding when they work out. :)
