My most powerful memory would have to be from the foggy morning where we encountered the wreckage of that ship and the young boy floating on a piece of the wreckage from the ship. When I first set eyes on him, I knew that my life would forever be changed and that nothing would ever be the same for me after that day.
Will was unconscious and floating in the water. Father and Norrington were worried that the pirates would come back, so they sent me into the cabins with Will where I could take care of him and make sure that he was going to be okay.
After they left me alone, Will opened his eyes for only a fraction of a second. He told me his name and I will never forget the brightness of his eyes.
That day gave me something very precious to me and it will always be a powerful memory in my mind.
