You forgot how much it hurt, to have your heart torn from your chest.
It was gruesome.
You wonder how it must have felt - to die.
Painful. Excruciating.
Even as quietly as he did.
It was bloody.
You don't know which you'd prefer returned to you but - would you really want him back?
He'll be buried there, on the battlefield.
