"You don't get to ask any questions"

Usually posted on Thursdays, but today it's posted on Good Friday. Yep guys, it's yet another Mad Men episode post.

This week's episode, 'The Gypsy and The Hobo', saw the episode split into three; Roger meeting up with an old flame; Joanie's husband job interview, and most importantly Don's confessions. Don Draper was the main priority of Wednesday's episode as he confessed everything to Betty, well almost.

The real Don Draper confessed his true identity; he told Betty that his real name is Dick Whitman, he was a product of a prostitute mother and his father was her client. He had a brother called Adam who took his own life back in the first series. 'Don Draper' was married to Anna Draper and got divorced three months before he and Betty would marry in 1953. The 'divorce' is going to confuse me until I figure out why 'Don' divorced his 'wife'; wouldn't she know that another man is pretending to be someone else.

Anyway Cold Lady turned into the female version of Piers Morgan, with the questions and wanting to know more on Don's life and real identity. Everything was pretty much tense, and Don's little annoying mistress was waiting in the car unaware of what was happening. Don got a confrontation of his life from Betty; she finally said enough is enough with the lying. Now tell me the truth. Despite Don missing out the cheating part, he chose carefully on how answer his wife's questions. I'm not very good with body language techniques, but this image would read that Don is in trouble and everything around him is getting tense. Their children has no clue on what is happening and they will never do until they are older. Seeing this is a show, in forty years time the children might resent their parents, have their own children, been successful, or not so successful, or have a retrospective view on what it was like to be a Draper kid back in the 60s when everything was served to them on a plate. Don and Betty might be dead too. Betty might have re-married to Henry and had children with him. Don on the other hand... Been pennilness?

Now let's slowly move onto Joan Harris. She was the office manager that men wanted and women wanted to be like. Having been seen working at a shop, everything isn't all up for our Joanie. Her husband is looking for work as a psych with no success that the pair argue which results Joan hitting her husband Greg with a vase. I have my opinions on their marriage; it's not going to last until season 4.

That's all

tv, mad men
