UnGreat Distractions
LiveJournal is so distracting but this week has been one memorable week. So I'm going to share some thoughts and opinions:
1. Tasteless, Money-making, Zombies. Or TMZ, has leaked a picture of Rihanna battered after Chris Brown assaulted. I'm not going to link it, as some people may find the picture disturbing, but words can describe the picture and how Rihanna must have felt; in pain, bruised and abused by someone who loved her. Do you know what's tasteless about the picture? That it's going to the highest bidder for $62, 500. Sick.
The irony here is that the managing editor, Harvey Levin is a lawyer. So how did he manage to get hold of the picture which is meant for the LAPD?
2. Some people on my F-list may have not heard of Jade Goody or know she is, so click here. She is famous for thinking that 'East Angular' was abroad but really, it isn't. That was on Big Brother. Now, she has terminal cancer; she has cervical cancer and after taking drugs to fight the cancer, she has been told that she only has a few weeks to live. I don't want to believe it; I believe that she can be survivor and fight this horrible cancer. Also, Jade has been in the papers and magazines this week, looking gaunt and exhausted after leaving Royal Marsden (which is a specialist cancer hospital). She's getting married tomorrow to Jack Tweedy. I wish her the best of luck on her wedding day.
3. I learnt what a Mountie is. Obama is on a world tour (again), and he's in Canada. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope he comes to the UK.
4. I'm sick of hearing about gangs in my area. Just on Thursday, a boy got stabbed outside of Maryland Station in Stratford. *face palm* I only went to Stratford the other day. I think my area, although Stratford isn't where I live, is gang-riden and unsafe. I sometimes paranoid and unsafe to walk the streets whenever I hear a teenager getting stabbed. I can't say 'that's life' because it isn't; kids are killing kids; kids are carrying knives to protect themselves. The world that I grew up in has gone...
5. I'm going to challenge myself. I'm not going to mention or make a umpteenth post about him, for a week starting from tomorrow. If I manage to pass a week, I'm going to make it another week. So expect your F-lists to be BriWi free.
