9/11: Six Years On

Sep 11, 2007 19:29

I was 9 when 9/11 happened. I could remember being at school when this happened, although the time zones in New York is different to the time here, I could remember watching coverage on tv.
A few days later in English, Ms Harley was talking about it. I could remember being so angry and lashing out, then crying in class. I wasn't the only person who was upset, alot more people were sad.... People from all over the world were mourning for the victims who lost there lives.
Then a year later, I was 10; and my birthday was just around the corner. The bell rang, and we were asked to stand up for a minute in silence to remember the victims. I could remember a girl was giggling slighty when the minute was up. The teacher was angry with her for doing that.

Six years on. And, I still can't get over it. I feel like.... this world isn't safe anymore.

I don't understand why there are terrorists; they don't have any remorse. They don't think about the victims' families, friends or the people who'll treasure them in their hearts, do they?

But. The terrorist aren't going to win this round. We and others are strong, even the ones who are weak. We are strong, and these terrorists aren't going to win. Everyone is brave and strong. And I believe sticking with each other is very important, because together we can win.
