About your comment:
I know I have long-time fans who have treasured older copies of the books. I also know that there are many folks out there who've heard of the series, but don't don't know that it has been reprinted. My problem is how to connect with these folks.
The bottom line is that the reprints and the new book have to sell enough copies so that they won't go out of print, and so far my agent describes the sales as "modest". I think he may be looking at old numbers from last year, since I know the books have been selling steadily on Amazon.
Ratha's Courage is out on Baen, Fictionwise, and is supposed to come out on Amazon. I don't really know how the book is doing.
I also don't know if I'm doing all I can to reach readers and potential readers. I have a number of webpages, including my own, a MySpace, LJ, Facebook and others. I also have the Scratching Log author blog, and I post those to LJ as well.
I've done two interview with webjay Steve Sikes-Nova on Live 365, was featured by Authors of MySpace, had an author chat on Wands and Worlds, and recently opened a forum on rathascourage.com. I even did an author appearence at Borders that went very well, according to the manager there.
Maybe these things just take more time to have an effect. I keep getting the feeling, however, that there is something I'm not doing or not doing right. Do you or any other LJ members have any suggestions?

If you had asked me five or six years ago, I would have better been able to answer you. (I worked in website placement and worked for Alta Vista -- the Google of its time.) Now? I'm so far behind the times I haven't ever been to Facebook once and I never go to Myspace on purpose. Wish I could be a better help on that!

Unfortunately, you can't see the article on the paper's website, as you need a subscription to view it. If you'd like a copy, let me know.
Good hunting! :)

I hope it isn't too late, but I would like a copy of the article. Is it available in electronic form, and could I get permission to put it on my website (www.rathascourage.com)?
Thanks again!

Nope, it's not too late at all! My editor is more than willing to let you put the article on your website, as long as you include a credit line. He sent me the copy of the article as it ran, and as soon as I can clean up the formatting and append that credit line, I'll e-mail it to you. I can also send you a hard copy of the article if you want--just send me a physical addy when I send you the copy, and I'll get it in the mail right away. :)
