are you ever just sitting there and something triggers a memory from back when you were in primary school? or younger? some forgotten memory that you haven't even thought of in years.
for me the trigger is always a clear day and the smell of cold air - some variation of that. i know that sounds exceedingly simple but it really has to be just right. a bird i haven't heard since spring started singing and all of a sudden i can remember walking around to the front of mcginn elementary school when i was still there in 4th grade, and outside through the "little doors" (this was the name of the doors that the kindergarteners used since they were closest to those classrooms. there was no one else around, my mom had just come in to sign me out and she was still by the office - she was pulling me out of school for four months because we'd be going to macedonia during that time while my grandfather was dying.
i also remember being in the driveway of my house in fanwood - we'd just gotten home from somewhere i dont remember where but the sky was overcast and we had to get dressed in our halloween costumes before it got dark. but my mom told me to stay in the car for a few minute. she told me about her new job in inport/export and told me how she might make a lot of money on a deal she was working on, she said if she got it we'd move out of our house into a better one and she told me to keep it a secret because when you talk about things like that they jinx your luck. it was so cold i remember on the way out of the car it started snowing
there are more but i'll leave that for later.
