I can't talk with my mouth full of bittersweet memory

i don't normally do this, recap entire days, because i see those kinds of posts as one of the most boring things on liverjounal, but here goes because i've been a naughty girl;

A plaintive reconstruction of the past three days, my weekend:

Friday at home: there is nothing better than coming home and seeing all your stuff, still in its little cubbyholes gathering dust. My parents were super-nice about me being here and, no tiffs, spent a weekend wallowing in Our Daily Affairs with each other. My mom made manja and my dad was all like "Kristina, there's Milka chocolate in the pantry!" and "Hey! Let's talk about National Geographic for a while, and oh there was this garter snake in the back by the pool pump but I couldn't catch it in time. They're not poisonous right?" Friday night we spent watching programs about reptiles and sleepily picked up my brother from a friend's house and fell into my (comparatively) huge bed, slept well (if you don't count waking up in the middle of the night from fever and chills)

Saturday: Actually I didn't do much today. I dicked around all morning because I was reeling from the force my lungs exerted in my coughing, being propelled into walls. I went shopping grocery shopping with my mother down at Somerset Farms - which I highly reccomend buying produce from.
I dropped by Pauls, ecstatic, and watched John and Joe play Fable and then went to the diner to watch Paul eat a pizza bagel. I thought it good and worthwhile, oh and saw Josh Penino there.
At 5 was Gordon's birthday dinner and ooohhh that baby deserves its own third person narrative post. Long story short i came out of that wishing to never see some of those people again, but I can't say that is atypical of a gathering of family friends.
Saw the Corpse Bride with Paul later that night and came out of it with two conclusions;
1. Thanks to Paul for pinpointing this, but the movie seemed like a rough draft. It was fun, no doubt, but I think it was (at least unconsciously) pitted against NBXmas. The animation won out without a doubt, but some parts were pretty stale creatively(deadtown). I also didn't appreciate the corny horrible jokes.
2. Will Johnny Depp ever cease to be hot? The answer is (not surprisingly) no, never.

sunday: oh fuck it, you know I can't keep this up...more on this later. right now i've got to get back to school.

No, wait, here's another aside that will coyly wrap up my feelings on this weekend: MY GRANDMOTHER wants to come and see where I live on campus. I am currently bursting with so much familial love I can't stand it.
