This lampshading technique (that was the term when a character anticipates objections to invalidate them in advance, yes?) where Reid points out that hallucinations usually don't turn people into violent serial killers, and how problematic their profile was, really doesn't make it any better that in this series this always happens with hallucinations. If they want to do hallucination scenes, why couldn't for once be one of the victims suffering them, but is otherwise a non-violent, regular person like their usual victims? I mean, surely you could do a plot where someone is vulnerable to some predator because they are confused or something like that.
