Gmail problems...

When I had trouble accessing Gmail yesterday afternoon I soon chalked that up to the more widespread problems accessing any Google service around here for a couple of hours, at least if you have the German T-Com as your ISP

Man, weird. Maybe they broke the DNS registry?

I have no idea. I mean, I found some news sources that had called them to ask them about this, but the only comment I saw was that they knew the error was countrywide, that they couldn't access Google either, but that as far as they could tell there wasn't anything wrong with their network and that their technicians were trying to resolve the issue. Today Gmail is working for me again through the web interface as well, so they resolved this, but it certainly was a weird error. (My computer voodoo icon seems very apt...) And I looked today whether they offered some explanation, but I didn't find anything.
