Getting ready to go to a friend's property and start practising archery. The local club is a Field Archery club, which means that archers walk through the bush and shoot at targets at various unspecified ranges. This means having certain equipment such as a quiver to hold the arrows. I looked online, and the cheapest was $50, going upwards from there to a staggering $195!!!!!! You can buy a fair bit of beer for $50, let alone $195, so I put my improvising cap on.
Using a $15 cordless drill holster from the hardware store, two plastic tubes with rubber caps scavenged from an old golf bag, some gaffer tape and a 50c belt from the Salvation Army shop, I came up with this:
Now I feel justified in going out and buying $35 worth of beer!!
