In college. Bored. Waiting for Carrara to render my helicopter animation. And I have no money. At all. Which is a bit alarming really.
Me and Kenneth went to see Killing Joke last night. It was good, unsurprisingly. Photos will follow. It was totally filled with old skinhead types, one of whom - the 'Old Psycho' as Kenneth and I christened him - brought it upon himself to give us gig-survival tips: "Just hold onto the barrier in front of you because everyone will crush forward". "We've been to an effing gig before you mong. Watch you don't break your hip!" - except we didn't say that very loud since I'd rather escape alive, plus he'd already gone away (thank the Lord). Kenneth said: "I bet he's the one who starts it" and I would've agreed if I could stop laughing.
The support, October File were pretty rubbish. Actually they looked completely fake. The musicians were pretty decent but the lead singer was too winey. And he had his tshirt tucked into his jeans to show off his American egle belt buckle. And he was wearing Vans even though they were a metal band. Also, the band's shirts changed colour from black to red under the UV light wich seemed quite cool at first but then added to the overall trying-too-hard fake feel.
Killing Joke were fab though. Pictures will explain more than I can. And as if on cue "Old Psycho went mental". The best part was that he took off his 'half-price-at-Specksavers-varifocles' off first so they wouldn't get broken. It really was exellant.
I was going to get Alec Empire tickets for me and Ava today - a plan now scuppered by the distinct lack of casholas.
Well, thats how it went, now back to the slog...
