Well, I hoped they were right, but I didn't really think they would just give it away, so I did some tests.

This is my speed before upgrade using the Java based tool




Then I reset my cable modem and did more tests.

This is the same test as before, the Java one

That's not the 8mb they promised, but it's also testing a server in New Jersey.

I tried the Flash test to a server in Chicago




Nice, so I did it again...




And just for good measure, I used the Flash tool to the first server in New Jersey




All in all, I'd have to say I'm quite pleased with the free upgrade
