The Ever-So-Rare Update
I have intended to update this thing for quite some time... but I'm a horrible procrastinator. So there. :P
First off, I won't be making it to Convergence 14. I got hit by some rather sudden and unexpected financial strains this Summer, which ultimately made the trip unfeasible. Maybe next year! (that is, if people are still in the habit of attending C* by then)
On the bright side, me not being able to attend Convergence freed up my schedule so that my band was able to get booked to headline at The National on August 9. Yes, that's this coming Saturday... and yes, if you're in this area, you should go to that. I still have a few tickets that I would love to let go of before Saturday. There will be much ridiculousness at this show, guaranteed.
Speaking of ridiculousness, we cobbled and spliced together a bunch of the footage taken from one of our shows to create a music video.
The show was an outdoor venue, so we brought out our fire-breathing henchwomen, and the guy-with-a-camera was foolhardy enough to stay close to the stage and in range of said firebreathers (generally, in these circumstances, most of the crowd retreats back from the stage so as to give them a LOT of room). I believe that the cameraman actually got set on fire at some point, due to standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The audio, aside from a few soundbites from the actual show itself, is taken from the not-yet-released album track. The actual footage only syncs with the song a few times (being a big cut-up edit job), but rest assured, the band is inebriated throughout the entire runtime.
