Time to enter the isolation booth
Well, I have procrastinated long enough. I have had a heck of a time getting in gear to get this final paper of the semester written. It is time for drastic measures.
1) after I finish this update, I turn off the cable modem.
2) I unplug the TV.
3) I don't answer the phone unless it is a very small circle of people that I would never not answer.
4) I don't leave the condo until things are done. I have enough food to last for four days, no excuse there.
5) Just get the bloody thing done.
I know the fact that I have an extended break coming up is part of the reason for my lack of focus. I need the break from the school work. With the events of the semester with the turmoil in the department, my ability to concentrate has taken some hits. Once this paper is done, hopefully by my self imposed deadline of 8:00 PM Saturday night, I can take about 24 hours to reset, then verify the paper and get ready to compress it into a ten minute presentation on Tuesday. After Tuesday, I am done with school until August and can focus on preps for the cross-country trip.
