I am the Hunter!

I just spent the last hour chasing a mouse with my cat and Mom.

The cat caught the mouse eating in her food bowl and grabbed it, but it escaped from her and ran into my work pants (which I am never leaving laying on the floor again!) when I picked up my pants it ran out and underneath the chest in the dinning room. Mom got a yard stick and poked behind the chest while I shined a flashlight underneath and the cat stared at it under the chest. It didn't like my flashlight, but we finally got it out into the entrance and it went round in circles with the cat for a few minutes then it crouched down the same as the cat and they stared at each other before it ran out into the living room, where it hid behind Mom's secretary and closed it's eyes in exhaustion. I kept it cornered with the cat, while Mom got a bucket and trowel then Mom moved the secretary and I caught it in the bucket and took it outside. The cat didn't want to leave the corner until Mom picked her up and tossed her out and now I can hear the cat batting the mouse in the bucket. I wonder if it will still be there when the sun comes up?

I also saw four turkey vultures this afternoon as I was going into work. They're really pretty from a distance. Their wings turn silver/gold when they fly between you and the sun, or the sun hits their wings just right.

It's almost 3 am and I need to get up tomorrow morning. I really need to sleep.
