Last week I saw six humongous birds, bigger than hawks. I would have said eagles but they were flying together like crows. I looked on the internet and found them. They were turkey vultures. Then earlier today I saw two turkey vultures. I also saw a hawk carring a snake, or something, home for dinner. Whatever it was, was so heavy the hawk couldn't soar. It had to keep flapping its wings, then it would try to soar and would end up diving to the right, flap flap, dive, flap flap, dive, flap flap... Over and over. Then the next day I saw a hawk getting dive bombed by two smaller birds, robins maybe? out over the middle of route 51. And there is a place where the telephone poles have some kind of black plastic cover over some kind of connector or adapter and there are grakles nesting in the black plastic. I could see three of them sticking their heads out of three consecutive telephone pole adapters. Then there was the chickadee that sang sw-Wee teet. teet. sw-Wee teet. teet. teet. for about ten minutes while we were eating dinner outside.
