How severe is your pain?

If I remain in one position for too long, it is strong enough that it is difficult to move. It's starting to be draining on my energy also.

Do you want to come into the infirmary to be checked out?

[He's on level eight. Sighs.] If I must.

Well, considering the rare nature of something like this affecting Timelord physiology, I think it's a good idea, don't you?

[A beat.]

I could come to you, if ya like.

... I... would prefer that, if it isn't too much trouble.

Of course not. Is fifteen minutes alright?

[And fifteen minutes later, Martha knocked on Omega's door, holding her medical bag in one hand and a professional smile upon her face. It was still quite odd to have someone with the Doctor's face, but the fact that his voice was different helped a lot.]

[It takes him a couple of moments to get to the door, if he hadn't had advanced warning, it probably would have taken longer. He's obviously a lot worse than he made out, he's been sweating a little despite the fact that he's wearing nothing but a pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt and he's sniffling slightly.

His voice is unaffected by this.]

Please, come in.

[The Eurydice is typical Time Lord engineering, just smaller. Instead of ceilings going up as high as an theatre, they just go up as high as a normal room. Still, it's elegant and organic looking, in gold and red highlights. Gallifreyan lettering graces a few of the panels, but only few work.]

[Martha waited patiently while Omega came to the door, and she fretted a bit about how long it was taking him, wondering if maybe he'd been sicker than the Doctor had been. When he opened the door, Martha noticed the sweating with a frown. Quickly, and without thinking really, she reached up and touched his forehead. He felt like he was running a fever and Martha frowned, because Timelords tended to have color temperatures that humans did.]

Sorry, reflex.

[She took a step inside the room and was suitably impressed by the structures there. They reminded her of when they'd gone to Gallifrey, the Doctor and Martha Jones. She settled her bag down, and then pulled the scanner from her pocket.]

How long have you been feeling this badly, Omega?

[Omega didn't move for a second, recognising that her hand should feel warmer. He shrugged.] I wouldn't expect a human to realise.

[Despite the phrasing, it really wasn't meant to be patronising, no species without telepathy should instinctively realise why touching someone's forehead might be a violation.]

The pain became difficult when I woke up this morning. [Of course, the fact that he'd been sleeping at all was a bad sign.

Omega is reasonably stable, apart from flu symptoms. A scan of his brain will reveal two signatures, one is stronger than the other, the other being recognisable as the Doctor's.]

[Martha didn't take it as patronizing, not really. She'd been among aliens long enough to know that 'human' wasn't always meant to be an insult; sometimes it just happened to be a descriptor. She'd mostly reached the point where such things didn't bother her.]

You had been sleeping?

[She knew that the Doctor really didn't do much of it, and the surprise showed on her face before she traced the scanner over him. When it reached his brain, the image of the Doctor, her Doctor showed up and Martha frowned quickly, and tapped the scanner as if the thing had been malfunctioning. No still the Doctor's brain signature was there. It made her shake her head before she focused on him again filing this away for later.]

It's odd, you just show the symptoms of the flu. I don't understand it.

[The scanner was put into the pocket of her jacket before she pulled out a bottle of tylenol.] This is non-aspirin and should help lower your fever. How nauseous are you right now?

For a half an hour, perhaps.

[Frowns in confusion.] Well, I'd take a look at other Gallifreyans for the answer to that one. I suspect a Doctor. If none of them shows symptoms, let me know, I feel in a generous mood.

[He took the tylenol.] Thank you. Not at all. More stiff than anything else.
