Ω Ninety Three - Season's Greetings!
Christmas is a time of reflection of the dying year. The bright hoorah before the lights go out and we are left in the cold darkness. The world pauses and sleeps. Then the snow melts once more and life is restored.
Christmas is in defiance of winter, lights breaking the darkness, warmth in the face of cold. Giving when money is at premium. Happiness when the entire hemisphere is calling for solemnity.
[Pause.]
Perhaps if our disapproving members would spend it in the Southern hemisphere, they'd be satisfied.
[Probably not, though.]
