[Private to Ardent]

[Omega doesn't like Ardent. He certainly hasn't forgiven him for what he's done to Narvin, but this is a matter of principal.] What are you doing down there?

[Private to Brax]My apologies for taking this long but I'm with Rassilon. [And well, in a Karma flood, that ought to be explanation enough.] Are you effected? And if so, ( Read more... )

I'm sitting on a bunk. What did you expect me to be doing? Making rat stew like my parents used to?

[so. fed. up. of. everyone.]

Well, it appears that Mr O'Brien has them in abundance, if you want someone to bring it down to you.

But 'sitting on a bunk' can be arranged while you're not locked up in Zero.

I confessed. Why would you free me?

I'm just fine here. Needed the quiet.

You said 'I didn't do it. It is written. I didn't do it.' Now, pardon my ignorance of Dwarven culture, but from my understanding that isn't something you just say. I believe that more than I do some flood biased crime scene. You yourself said that you had framed before, given the general theme of this flood, don't you find that suspicious?

Quiet not in your room?

It isn't something you just say.

But I confessed for a reason - a big enough reason to go contradict my own word - so let it go.

And tell me, what is the general theme of this flood? Knocking me out for several hours and covering me in blood?

No. Tit for tat. 'Karma'. Essentially torture under the guise of 'justice'.

Oh.

Then maybe I should stay where I am.

I think your fellow occupant is there because he's affected also. He certainly doesn't seem to be able to leave. [Poor Patrick.]

Oh, the human who's stuck?

I wonder why all the watchmen haven't got that punishment.

Because they're just, presumably. Or not effected. One of those.

Just is a matter of perspective.

But then again, so is everything here, but that doesn't stop him.

Certainly is at this point. No, it didn't. I don't think it right, you being down there. I doubt Narvin disagree if he had the wherewithal.

Don't put words in Narvin's mouth. Or don't you remember that conversation?

I confessed for a reason. One I'm not telling you, and I don't care what you think - the evidence is against me, I confessed, what is a watchman going to do?

I'm not. I've heard him say that he believes your innocence.

Considering you initially refuted the idea and said you were going to stay in your room, there was no actual evidence against you, a mark on the wall merely puts you at the scene, even assuming you put it there and he never even bothered reviving the victim. A confession under duress, given that the man was well informed of the general theme of flood and after you told him that it was similar that something that happened to you... You don't arrest people before you have the evidence, that's sloppy police work.

And you both seem to be forgetting that fact that he is not a policeman here. He's a warden. He's here to guide a person. If a person is a danger to others, certainly, no one should complain but you weren't hurting anyone at the time, were you? Did you have any intention of even leaving your room?

No one gave him the right to arrest you.

Don't you tell me about my rights, and don't go throwing around assumptions.

I confessed to him under no duress. Either from him, or the flood. I wasn't framing myself.

The evidence was right there. Because not only were there several things of mine at the scene, I also didn't have a single alibi.

I can defend myself. I can also choose when I want to be defended. I can choose to surrender that defence to help someone else, and that's what I did, so what do I have to do to get you to leave it alone?

Really? And so what about this other person you keep referring to? Do you honestly think that this person can't defend themself?

Even ripping out my tongue won't stop me, I assure you. Especially given Rinzler's communication?
