Ω Forty Seven - Interspecies Communication
[Peylix is sitting with his back straight and is smiling (though it's probably more sheepish than he would have liked, but this is baby's first public broadcast. His wandering about the ship has helped him pick up English.] Hello. I'm Peylix.
I come from Gallifrey. It's a planet. And if you've haven't heard of it, that's probably for the better, cause you'd end up enslaved, butchered or well, uh, tortured, I suppose is the word.
It looks nice though. [He reaches off screen and grabs a picture drawn of Ancient Gallifrey pointing it at the camera. The sky is a deeper red and there are volcanos but it's striking all the same.] It's at the centre of an empire spanning many worlds but humans are really the first aliens who look so much like us that I've seen.
[He pauses and puts down.] You know, at home, if they knew I was doing this, I'd end up an empty shell and my family would have obliterated. So, um, little nervous!
But I can't help it. If I go back without trying, I'd be ashamed. Cowardice brings evil.
Um, anyway. I'd like to know about you. Oh, and if you saw me with a man in a 'suit'. That was Braxiatel and not a demon shadow. I think I may have worn him out.
