Tamaki, who did not have classes on Wednesdays, was sitting on his bed studying his notes. He was rather perplexed by Reno's gathering of things.

"What are you doing, roomie?"

"Ex-roomie," Reno said, ever-so-casually as he poked around to make certain that he had gathered everything up. "Had to transfer rooms, yo."

This was a bit unexpected, to say the least. Of course, Tamaki had to assume the worst! He was naturally dramatic.

"What? Why? Was it something I said?!"

Eyeroll. Epic eyerolling.

"No, Tamaki. It wasn't somethin' you said. Boss just would rather I be in a single, is all."

Blink. Blinkblink.

"Boss?"

Aha! An errant bottle of tequila under the bed!

One mouthful left. Waste not, want not, right? Mmmm.

"I'm sure you know how it is," Reno was sure Tamaki had no clue. "One moment, you're sittin', mindin' your own business, the next you got a threat about your salary sittin' in your inbox, yo."

Tamaki didn't have a clue, but he did realize that this meant his own room.

"Ah," he said slowly, "Well, if the Boss says so..."

His face reflected his loneliness for but a moment before he smiled, hiding that part of himself away. "I wish you all the best, then, roomie. I hope I'll see you on Sundays."

"Wouldn't miss pimp club for nothin', Tamaki." Grin. Wink.

It seemed Reno knew how to get a rise out of Tamaki, who leapt to his feet and flailed.

"Hey! It's not that kind of club!"

Reno couldn't help it. He laughed. It was better seeing Tamaki in a flailing rage than it was looking at him being all down over something neither of them really had any control over.

"If you say so, man. Just so long as I don't get hit on by another guy this week, I'm there, whatever the heck you wanna call it."

Tamaki seethed for a time, then, as Reno laughed, he couldn't help but laugh too. Grinning from ear to ear, he offered a handshake.

"Maybe ex-roomies, soon, but still friends, right?"

Reno shrugged, grinned, and took Tamaki's hand to shake.

"Damn straight." Smirk. "Maybe this means you'll actually start usin' my name now."

Tamaki shook Reno's hand firmly, then moved to try and clap him on the back.

"You can always come to visit, Roomie!"

Some things, Reno supposed, would never change.

"I'll keep that in mind, yo. I'll be in room 429 if you ever need me, got that?"

He nodded happily.

"I'll bring you a housewarming gift!"

Reno was absolutely terrified just thinking about what kind of housewarming gift Tamaki could possibly come up with. So he tried not to think about it.

"I'll look forward to that, yoto."

Terror, pure and simple.
