"Auditioned for the play again, still working at the flower shop, classes are mostly interesting and less crazy this semester-- except for the one about love and romance in the movies," Dinah said, her voice souring a bit. "Training, more training, training a new kid and, um. Boyfriend broke up with me. That pretty much covers it." Except for the crimefighting, and seriously, that hadn't happened for real yet. Not exactly.

"No," Dinah denied. "It sucks to be him, more than me. He left for Christmas break and got stuck in a city under martial law for two and a half years. He's running missions for the resistance now. Just got back from one this morning. He's just... not in a boyfriendy headspace." She grimaced. "It's funny, he kind of reminds me of you, now, when he never did before. Only angrier, maybe."
