(I so apologise for this late response, RL/holidays have really interfered)
I don't know how to begin thanking you for this tremendous reply. I was elated when I read it for you went right to the core of what I was trying to say in my vid story...and went over it so eloquently. I'm thrilled that what cut the closest was the "Spike-William justapostion" as it was something I wanted as part of my story from the moment I decided to vid the song.
'cause that's what I love about the character: that dichotomy, the soft William center under all that strut and edge. How beautifully said....and this is what I love about the character as well.

I'm also really impressed by the eerie, heavy atmosphere you maintain through the whole thing,.. That thrills me no end to hear this, for that is exactly what I was after. I must say the music really inspired me and kept me focused on painting that atmosphere. ...and the way you capture the relationship's ambiguity. "You could give me anything but love" in turns played over scenes where Buffy is disgusted by him/using him/hating him... and scenes where Buffy, you could certainly claim, is loving him (end of Showtime). This is where I could have jumped up and down while reading your words...for this is exactly what I wanted to leave with the viewer! Your pointing out how that lyric played over all those different scenes tells me I must have accomplished what I sought out to do. I can think of no comment I'd rather hear. Thank you sooo very very much.

I still am reveling in your wonderful reply here..and I thank you again, your 'getting it all' and your beautiful praise mean more than I can say. And I'm beyond flattered that you ask about more Spike/Buffy vids in the future..yes, I very much want to, both Spike/Buffy and Spike. :)
