I second all that..a thousand times. Guess you know who I've been falling in love with ever since 'Fool for Love' and by the end of Beneath You, I guess I fell in...pretty deep.
I'm so glad we had a chance to talk about this scene as you were re-watching it, it was wonderful to 'experience' it with you. (How I wish we could really watch BtVS and Angel together). I loved it when you said it was giving you 'chills.' To me it was completely beautiful on every level, emotionally, visually..storywise...the superb writing...and James' acting was indescribable. The scene wrings every drop of emotion from Spike, fear, anger, love, confusion, heartbreaking sorrow, and finally there is his weary acceptance of his new soul. I love the way the scene was drenched in 'moonlight' too..just breathtaking.
Sorry, I just can't stop my rambling where this scene is concerned!
I'm so pleased you like the captures and that you encouraged and urged me to do them. I loved every capping second of it...sighh. I look forward to the beautiful Angel baby images you'll be posting!
As you can imagine I am bursting like mad with thoughts and feelings about all we've watched since this in both series and hope to get some replies up on your LJ, too.
