Sad and Mad

So I'm filling in for Crystal at Btown Eyecare. It's 1:30 and this older guy comes in with his wife to pick up 2 pairs of glasses. The other employee is downstairs at lunch, and I just KNOW this guy is gonna need his glasses adjusted. I don't know how to do that - haven't been taught and I don't want to break $300 glasses.

So of course, one pair is tilted on his face. I take them down to the employee and she just twists at the nose-piece. I bring them back up and the guy is muttering "Why can't she just come up?" I'm like dude...you didn't set up a time to come get them -- LIKE WE SAID ON THE MESSAGE YOU GOT -- and if you saw, I'm NOT qualified to fix glasses. So they still don't sit right. He goes "She needs to come up here, I paid $500 for these" muhmuhmuhmuh. Fine, I understand that.

Employee comes upstairs and cheerfully fixes the glasses, while he starts BITCHING about how at "his work" they work 12hr shifts with no lunch (dude...I have your file, you're a pharmacist at CVS...like...you aren't busy that often, it's Bloomington, not Orlando with all the old folks), there are always lots of employees (uh..we only HAVE 3 employees. One is Crystal (vacation), one is 73 y.o. (works rarely), and the other was ON LUNCH BREAK. I'm just filling in as HELP!), we should JUMP UP to get the customer, and apparently that I didn't say hello fast enough.
I'm sorry >>> WHAT WAS THAT LAST ONE???

As SOON as he walked in the door I greeted him and asked what I could help with. So infuriating. And I have to hold my tongue b/c otherwise I'll bitch the SHIT out of him with my preggo hormones. After he left I wanted to :( >:O to the other employee but phone calls & other customers took over.

I'm not upset he mentioned that the employee needed to come help...I'm upset he chewed me out to her. She's not my freaking supervisor! And I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING YOU SAY, DOUCHE NOZZLE. And I'm upset he didn't set up an appt like you're SUPPOSED to. WTF.

:( I quit.
