Hyperdrive / Strobelight Tonight!
I should have posted this sooner, but in addition to the flu, this past couple of weeks have been rather chaotic. We got asked at the last minute to play at the Atlanta Comics Expo. Wee! This was completely unexpected, but when we were asked, we immediately said 'yes'. We only had one week to prepare for it, and we had a great many changes in the band to have to work around in that short amount of time (Dave left afer Chattacon, Jen came back after having a baby, etc). Plus, we were told, "hey, that Strobelight stuff you guys do sounds really good. Can you add some of that to your set?" Now, we haven't actually played any of our Strobelight stuff since October because Hyperdrive was keeping us so busy.
So tonight's show may be a tad shaky, but damn....we're really juiced up for it. It'll be our first opportunity to play on a big stage, with a real sound system (even the drums are getting miked!), under real stage lights. Its going to be so much fun! I just hope that people are completely confused by us doing both Hyerdrive and Strobelight material. You know....you don't often hear the Indigo Girls in the same set as the Misfits! :-) That's the beauty of rock'n'roll, though.
