As many of you know, Photobucket recently changed their hosting plan so while the accounts are still free, they expect you to pay $400/year to support third party hosting (which is what is used when we post images/links on LiveJournal). I've been using Photobucket right from the beginning, so this whole change is really disappointing on so many levels.

I'm using Imgur for the time being, but it's not my absolute ideal. I can completely understand wanting to go with something with nameable files.

Good luck finding a host, I hope you'll let us know which one you land on <3

Agreed on Photobucket. I've used Photobucket since before I first joined Livejournal way back in 2004, so this change is even more upsetting after so long. I have been using Imgur for my public icon challenges for awhile since I did tend to reorganize my Photobucket account occasionally, and then those links wouldn't break on me. Having named files is just so much easier to track down when an image breaks. DX ( ... )
