My Crazy-Awesome Weekend!
So, as most of you probably know, I went to Trenton this weekend. I'll just start at the beginning. The bus leaves at 6, and i was just packing at 5:30, thus causing me to forget alot of essentiel things. But I did get there in time and we loaded on to the bus. It was going to be a VERY long ride. Our first stop was in Carelton Place to pick up the Lanark people because they were going for Seamanship. Our corps was going for Gyn(Me, Ian Kennedy, Cory Buccino, Kelsey Buchmayer, Zanna Sowka and Sakar) and First Aid(Eric Buchmayer, Sarah Crawford, Zanna Sowka and Nat Levasseur). So there was lots of room on the bus. Eric wasn't on the bus because he was getting a ride with Harper, so the ride was kind of dull until people started singing.
Then we stopped at a Truck Stop MacDonalds. Ever notice how resteraunts in cities are so much smaller than the middle-of-nowhere ones?. Yeah, it was vast and empty. It was about 9 by now and I just got a Triple Thick Milkshake, cept it wasn't so thick. Nat was hungry and got a happy meal and Zanna went crazy over the German Shepard toy inside. She went and asked if there were any beagle ones and she came back with a i don't know how old Stitch, as in Lilo and Stitch. Sarah was really amused because if you put play dough in it, it grew hair.
So back on the bus, they were playing with the two and Cory grabbed a piece of play dough and stuck it in Ian's mouth. He swallowed it! It was so funny. So then, it was getting pretty dark and all we had to see by were the red emergency lights. It was an erie setting and Ian descides to start telling me about the movie It in great detail. Freaked me out.
So, when we pulled up into the barracks, everyone was standing outside staring at us, and i thought, how rude! We loaded our stuff off the bus and went to occupy the very last bunks in the H block. Me and Kelsey decided to share a bed, she got the bottom and I got the top bunk. The XO so graciously gave Nat duty at 4:30 in the morning, even though it was midnight when it was lights out. Anyways, we went to sleep. I woke up at 4:30 when the person came to wake up Nat. After Nat had left, I remember what Ian had said about It, and the clowns and how they came out of sewers to eat kids. And guess what, there was this wide open vent right above my head. I was terrified. My Can't Sleep Clowns Will Eat Me Shirt has a whole new meaning to me now.
