Saw Paul McCartney last night. Was a great show. Started the show off with a weird DJ who played lots of European Disco music. Then a video played that chronicled his life.
His first song was "Magical Mystery Tour", which was great. Told a cute story about falling in the hole where his piano comes in on his 2nd night of touring. Then he played "Fix The Hole". Played a few new songs, a few old Wings some and of course the Beatles songs. Eleanor Rigby was a great one to hear him sing. I loved "Till There Was You", "Blackbird", "Band On The Run", and he did lots of fire for "Live and Let Die". And of course during "Good Day Sunshine" it was all about NASA. He did the sing along to "Hey Jude" and we all sang along. So I can officially say I sang "Hey Jude" with Paul McCartney!! It went on for a while, but it was great to hear 17,000 people sing along. For his encore it was all Beatles songs. He came out and sang "Yesterday" and "Helter Skelter" and for his 2nd encore he played "Let It Be" and it was just great. He shot off confetti at the end, and I got it down my shirt. I was sitting 13 rows back, but on the isle, but I could still see. Plus they had screens everywhere.

We did get a vocab lesson with "peradventures". He also joked about reading signs, and he said "Love the ones that say 'My mom saw you when you played Shae Stadium 1965!" then he rolled his eyes. It was funny because someone was there holding up a sign that said something about playing the cow palace in the 70's.

I love it when he sings "And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make".

EEE!! I saw a Beatle!! Even if he does look like Angela Lansbury, how many of you can say that?
