Vampires part Deux.

So after a few conversations about the concept, and Steve's whining, my idea of a quarterly Vampire larp is coming together.

Here's what I've got so far:

1. Quarterly. As in, four times a year.
-Biggest problem will be maintaining player retention, but more often than that and I will burn out or ignore the game because of other distractions.

2. Limit the game to 3 Clans.
-Part of what's killing the last few attempts at vampire is the everything-and-the-kitchen-sink mentality to Clans and Bloodlines. 20-25 players, and 11 different Clans/Bloodlines makes for a lame ass game. The limits to Clans should make for a more political game, which is what I'm looking for.

3. Camarilla. No PC anarchs, Sabbat, etc.

4. Established city.
-As in we won't be doing the overplayed "Oh my gosh! All the vampires except you PC's who just arrived in town got wiped out! Take over!"
-Problem with this is how to stagger PC power levels. Vampire is not a society of equals, but games should be set up fairly.
-Ideally, every "position" in town except the Prince and Scourge would start the game in the hands of a PC.
-Making this happen will require most of the players to have some character stuff developed a month or so before the first event.

5. The 15/14/13 Trait Rule.
-Should help mitigate the "Generation is king" mentality somewhat.

6. Lots of starting XP with very slow stat progression once the storyline starts.

Needed:

1. Some plot ideas.
2. Help running the plot - i.e. Narrators.
3. A venue. This probably should be problem #1. If I can't find a decent site to run at this won't go anywhere.
4. Some players. I'm thinking of putting up a MySpace page just for this to drum up some intrest, start some communication, etc.

Shooting for the first event to be Thanksgiving weekend.

Feel free to comment support/intrest/criticisms/etc.
