Carnifex_Atrox CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Lea, Kingdom Hearts
In-Game Name: Lea Cole
Age: 15
Gender: Male.
Position & Ship (first and second choice for position please): Amestris, Entertainer or Cabin Boy
Appearance: Lea is probably best described as casual and cheeky looking. He isn't particularly tall for his age, though he does have a lean build with large hands and feet, something that gives the impression that, once he grows up, he'll probably end up being rather lanky. His upwardly-spiked, shockingly red hair is his most noticeable feature, but his rather striking green eyes come in at a close second. They are framed by surprisingly long, dark eyelashes and he has small, short eyebrows that, despite their size, are nonetheless extremely expressive.
He dresses very comfortably, in the sort of clothes that lend themselves easily to getting into trouble uninhibited and, hopefully, getting out of it as well.
Personality: Lea is, in short, a derp. That said, he is still more than smart enough to form plots and plans for daring escapades, such as breaking into places he shouldn't be breaking into. Even so, his tolerance for failure is pretty high so rather than brooding over something that doesn't go as planned for too long, he'll sulk, back off, redouble his efforts and try, try again. That said, if he is caught in the act of doing something he shouldn't be doing, he will never just go quietly.
He is, obviously, a little bit on the immature side in general, though this is to be expected given how old he is and his rather carefree upbringing. That said, having it pointed out won't stop him goading others about acting babyish, making him seem almost humorously hypocritical in those circumstances. He will, for instance, laugh at somebody for playing with a toy sword and then turn around and pull out his frisbees as though they are the coolest things in the world, complete with an over-the-top routine to show them off and a gleeful ‘ta-dah!’ as he does it. He seems to be immune to embarrassment in that respect.
Even so, seeming 'cool' is kind of important to him, regardless of the fact that he probably appears woefully dorky to everybody else. It is visible not only in the way he meticulously spikes his hair (in order to look as badass as possible, obviously), but also in how he acts and carries himself. He's carefree, cocky and ever so slightly arrogant without real cause. He likes to be seen and noticed and wants, above all, to be remembered, leading him to make frequent use of his (annoying) catchphrase of 'Got it memorised?' to ensure that neither he nor any important information he's passing on is forgotten.
While he will play around and act like a troublemaker, he's a pretty nice kid and is always up for a laugh and a joke, often choosing to nearly flamboyantly overreact and jokingly blame his own shortcomings on other people's reluctance to step in and stop him making a prat of himself. He doesn't seem to consider saving face to be his responsibility at all. He can also be a little bit of a bully, being happy to pick on people who don’t seem immediately interesting or look to be a little on the weak side. That said, his mean streak is as shallow as a puddle. Although it isn't always the case, it is often employed to cheer people up and bring them out of their shells by prompting some sort of reaction in shy or quiet individuals. That, in combination with his friendly personality means that as a result, he tends to make friends pretty quickly.
Abilities/Weapons: Lea's abilities are limited. He's not so bad in a scrap, but in a fight against somebody with an ounce of skill or formal training, he's going to come up short. For fights like that, he tends to use the frisbees he carries, a pair of discs both emblazoned with a picture of a 'Bomb' monster, something that reflects his would-be magical alignment.
As said, although he doesn't show much sign of it yet, he is tied to the element of Fire. His appearance and chosen motifs reflect this and, one day, he might be a fairly decent one-element mage, but currently that isn't the case. He'll need a lot of training for a few years before he gets anywhere with it.
How well can your character hack?: He can't. He's not THAT much of a troublemaker.
Weaknesses: He has a nose for trouble and he tends to follow it. As such, he has the potential to get himself into awkward or dangerous situations that he may not be able to get out of.
Friendship is also a major weakness for him, and his loyalty to his friends. He will go above and beyond the call of duty with friendship in mind, and this could easily get him into dangerous situations.
He's also not that skilled a fighter. He could probably defend himself, but he's no master of anything and is, pretty much, just a gobby kid with a couple of frisbees.
History: Lea hails from a town called Radiant Garden, a Badlands settlement located in the centre of the Hegua Lake. Once as bare as the majority of the rest of the badlands, Hegua Lake's island was transformed into a leafy oasis perpetually in bloom thanks to a team of scientists and a very sophisticated Mana fuelled irrigation system. The town was beautiful, safe, secluded and, as a result, entirely boring if you happen to be a teenage boy with a need to be entertained.
With no trouble to get into and no danger from monsters, Lea made his own entertainment and, unfortunately, that consisted mostly of breaking and entering. Doing it for the challenge more than to be vindictive, Lea and his friend quickly tired of the conventional targets and decided to try their luck with something a bit more... difficult; the laboratory complex used by the scientists to control the water and keep the balance in Radiant Garden.
Guarded and definitely not open to the normal residents of the town, Lea was determined to get in there and have a look around simply because it was against the rules. Unfortunately, him and his partner-in-crime fell prey to the guards on numerous occasions and never actually managed to make it inside. Eventually, they gave up and, when they did, boredom reigned. The potential for adventure within the walls of their pretty town had been thoroughly exhausted.
Lea decided that he wanted to look further afield for adventure and decided that the time was right for moving out. Leaving home with little more than a note to his parents, a bag packed with clothes and his two frisbees, Lea and his buddy hitched a ride with a group of tradespeople and managed to get out of the town with little effort except for the work that they ended up doing to pay for passage. However, once they were at their destination, they hit the little snag of having no money and no work with which to get any.
Lea set his sights on the skies and, with the friend he'd left with, came up with a plan to get onto an Airship and work there to pay for their rooms and food. If it worked, they would have no shortage of things to do, places to see and trouble to get into.
