I am the student afraid to go back to school. The teasing and shouting “Kill the faggot!” has gotten worse, and none of the teachers are doing anything about it.
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.
That's depressing.. I hate people who discriminate, they piss me off. Fuckers.
Well, not much going on right now.. My dad is leaving for the weekend to go see a Nascar race.. I got woken up early to call The Depot only to find out that Traci was ready to hire someone else.. *sigh* I'm never gunna get a job and I need one so bad right now. Mark won't be back to work until the 29th.. We won't have a check for a few weeks, so we're fucked. I need a way to make money so bad right now cause I have like 3/4 of a tank of gas but I don't know how long it'll last.. Meh.. Why do all the people who don't need jobs get jobs so easily.. And then the people who desperately need jobs NEVER get jobs? Why? It's really messed up that all the jobs are taken by the time you're able to get one.. Then you REALLY REALLY need one.. And there's NONE left. I guess i'm gunna apply at Burger King cause Brandi said they're hiring.. Meh. Stupid fast food, but I need a job so bad. I applied there twice already, maybe third time will be a charm.. MAYBE.
I'm really tired right now but today is dedicated to finding a job.. I'm gunna run up into Eaton, talk to Burger King, then talk to KFC. Then put like 5 bucks in my gas tank to make up for my running around up there.. *sigh* Stupid gas prices.. I hate George Bush with a passion, he needs to go die.
I'm getting kind of sick of society right now.. People are homophobic and they discriminate gay people all to hell.. When it's not like gay people can help it. Homosexuals are born that way, it's not like they up and decide one day OH I'M GUNNA GAY HAHAHAHAHA.. No, it doesn't work like that. They are born like that, and it shows later on in life. Sure, they could hide it, but then would America really be America? We are supposed to be the "land of the free" yet our gay people can't even show how they really are because we have these assholes who think that gay people shouldn't even exist. Then we have the assholes who like lesbians, but absolutely hate gay guys. Just because two gay guys aren't as "hot" at two lesbians doesn't mean they're much different! They're both gay, and if you're a christian who believes in God and all that.. THEY'RE BOTH SINS. I look at lesbians and gay guys as nothing different, they are both homosexuals. These people aren't any different from us.. Just like we prefer the opposite sex, they prefer the same sex. They may look at us the same way we look at them.. "How can you prefer them over the same sex?" Ya know? People need to start looking at things from a gay person's perspective.. Instead of just making fun of them or talking shit to their face to make them feel even worse.. Not all gay people flaunt their gayness, some people hide it because they don't want the world to know so that the world can point and laugh and make fun of them. Or maybe they don't want the world to know because they know YOU will treat them differently, even though they are the same person they were 10 seconds ago before you even knew they were gay! People need to realize there's more to life than if someone is gay or not.. Why waste your life away voting on a bill to discriminate against gay people? What did gay people do to anyone? It's not just America where gay people are, they're EVERYWHERE. They were obviously meant to be here if God allowed them to be, or whatever God you guys believe in.. Or if you don't believe in God at all you probably don't discriminate against gays.. Or if you do there's still obviously a reason why they're here. Many people believed Shakespeare was gay.. What if he was? What would people do if one of the greatest writers of that time was GAY? Would people start to dislike him? What if George Bush was gay? What would people do to him? Probably call him a hypocrit and try to kill him.. Who knows? What would you want people to do if you were gay? Would you want them to treat you the same? Would you want them to look at you the same and not discriminate against you? Think about it.. I'm not saying the people on here all hate homosexuals, but if you are a person who does dsicriminate against them maybe you should re-examine yourself and try and look at the situation differently, look at it from their side, not just from yours.
Okay, I am done with my gay person rant.. lol
