Jumble

I’ve heard Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” three times since Tuesday. That’s so strange. It makes me want to listen to some Al Green or Otis Redding. Granted, I only have one song by each downloaded, but whaddayagonnado?

What’s with all the invites to breakfast this week? Yesterday - Aaron. Today - MattClark. Tomorrow, though, nobody will ask, because the day I actually can sip coffee all morning, everyone will be sleeping. Just watch.

Speaking of breakfast - I was driving to the café today in the misty twilight and drizzling rain, and I passed under this tree where you could hear the water trickling through the leaves and branches so softly. It was so quiet. I sat there for a minute, wishing I had that tree near my window. And then a raindrop landed on my head.

Tonight is the first performance of “Deviant Behavior” (Compton, 9:30 p.m.), and I am hosting. Nervous? God, yes. I’m surely going to mess up - run out of air, stumble over words, forget the point of games. Actually, I’ll be OK. I’ll just go on auto-pilot and not remember anything that I did while on stage. Like freshman year when I was in “The Vagina Monologues” and I decided to fake a mini-orgasm. The only thing I can remember was thinking, “That sounds pretty good, Rach. Forget about your mother sitting in the second row. Moan a tiny bit more.”

Here’s another article for your enjoyment: ‘Beauty-Beast’ story history pretty long (10D, Fresh Ink). It’s really not worth reading, but I’m posting it for consistency’s sake.
