Waxing Disaster
I don't understand why, even though I stressed that "they just need to be cleaned up a little" and "only the few strays need to go," the stylist interpreted my clear instructions as "please rip out every damn hair so my eyebrows look like penciled-on C's." She even agreed with me: "Yeah, they look pretty good already." Then why, Linda from the Bronx? Why? My brows were nearly perfect -- at least to me -- and they just needed to be fine tuned. Not only are they now overly thin, reshaped, shorter and hiddeous, but I'm going to have to wait months until anything at all can be done to them. Damnit. I need to be back in Edinboro where my Moira, who I discovered at Walmart of all places, will cut my hair and wax my eyebrows without me needing to say a word. Those Asian women at that manicure place on Eighth Street in Manhattan would be appalled, too.
