For the second weekend in a row, Aaron came to visit, creating a very spoiled and very happy Ms. Schmucker. I'm so thankful he could steal his family's van again, though, because most likely we won't get to see each other for two or more weeks. That's a long time when you've all but lived together for the past year.
When he arrived Saturday afternoon, Zachary and I were watching Creepshow and lounging on various couches. Aaron joined us, and after a very Mystery Science Theater-like narration of the last half of the movie, we three decided to eat dinner at Super Panda: Chinese Buffet. Zachary, of course, lectured me the entire time on my buffet etiquette, as I always take and leave too much food on my plate and "it's insulting to the owners." I honestly think the restaurant could care less what I do not eat, because they're still getting their money.
When we got back, Aaron and I settled on the couch together to watch the season finale of House, MD that I had taped. Actually, now that I think about it, we never did get to discuss the episode. He was tired, however, so I don't know if he'll remember much. No problem; we spent the night in my bed watching various forms of Law & Order.
Sunday started off slowly, as I tried repeatedly to awaken Aaron (see above photo) and leave my house by noon. We were going to afternoon tea at my aunt and uncle's new tea parlor, and our reservations were for 12:30 p.m. We made it just in time and enjoyed a lovely couple of hours eating finger sandwiches, scones and cookies. Truth be told, neither Aaron or myself really like tea (I'd rather have a coffee and him a hot chocolate or soda), but the selections we chose -- Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and Victorian Garden -- were tasty.
After tea, Aaron drove me home and left soon-after. It was such a good 24 hours. Hopefully sometime in the next few weeks I can get to Chambersburg.
